What makes this PS2 special?

The 4TB 3.5" HDD is formatted to exFAT which allows content to be loaded to it from any Windows, Mac, or Linux based file browser. In order for the PS2 to take advantage of an HDD this size, Grimdoomer's OPL build is preloaded on the memory card.*

Having the disc drive fully rebuilt, cleaned, greased, and calibrated via PMAP will allow it to read both DVD's and CD's quietly and reliably.

A new CR2032 clock battery has been installed so your PS2 does not suddenly forget the time, allowing you to have accurate dates in save game files, experience time based events in games properly, and maintain other PS2 functionality that depends on the clock battery.

With the brand new 5V Noctua fan, this PS2 operates whisper quiet while still providing excellent cooling. A 10 ohm resistor was also installed between the fan and PS2's 7V fan connector, which will step the voltage down near the fan's intended 5V.

Replacing all of the electrolytic capacitors with brand new capacitors ordered from Console5 will allow this PS2 to maintain stable power delivery and reliable video output for decades more to come. Additionally, all thermal pads have been replaced for better cooling performance.

The BlueRetro adapter allows you to connect almost any modern bluetooth controller to the PS2, and the PSxMemCard Gen2 generates virtual memory cards for every individual game you play to an SD card, and automatically switches to the correct virtual memory card when a game is launched.**
